Change from head to toe with Bristol
Dutch clothes store chain Bristol has chosen Duval Guillaume Brussels for a restyling of their brand. Hero of the new campaign is the TV commercial ‘Switching Heads‘.
In this visually surprising commercial you see women swapping heads to wear each other’s outfit. Women always wish to wear the clothes of someone who is dressed better than they are. This insight served as an inspiration for the idea of changing clothes by changing heads.
In the commercial women change clothes by switching heads. In reality it’s better to visit a Bristol store. There you can find everything, from shoes to trousers, tops and accessories. We translated this to the campaign line “change from head to toe”.
Be kind to animals, because you might end up as one
Self-love is still the strongest form of love. Animal rights organization GAIA and Duval Guillaume play on this insight in a membership recruitment campaign for GAIA.
They ask you to be kind to animals, because you never know how you will reincarnate. Maybe you might come back as a mouse suffering tests in a laboratory? Or as a baby seal? So you’d better take no chances and become a member of GAIA. Do it in this life.

Carlsberg bottle stunt
Carlsberg “probably the best beer in the world” came out with a new bottle. Duval Guillaume helped spreading the word.
In Brussels and in Antwerp the Carlsberg logo was formed using the new Carlsberg bottles, an impressive amount on each billboard.
Just for once the well known Carlsberg baseline was adapted into ‘Probably the best new bottle in the world’.
Brother: richer colours
One might remember the colours that stay longer print ad for Brother printers. Now Brother launches a second ad to promote Brother printers with innobella technology: richer colours.
Figures and numbers
Financial Forces are experts in financial staffing at all possible levels. Their brand promise is: “who says working with numbers is boring”.
Together with Financial Forces Duval Guillaume created an unusual campaign: figures and numbers. The Belgian game show host Zaki was engaged to present an online quiz called ‘figures and numbers’, Cijfers en Getallen in Dutch or Chiffres et Nombres in french.
The game is a mathematical challenge based on the original show ‘figures and characters (”Cijfers en letters” in Dutch) Zaki used to host. Anyone can play the game. The ones interested in a job through Financial Forces register and could be contacted by the Financial Forces recruitment team.
The campaign will be promoted using print ads, sampling, bannering and displays in offices. Zaki and Philippe Rase, the French host, are looking forward to welcom you as a their next candidate. Carry on:
A good conversation
Douwe Egberts and Duval Guillaume have launched a new television campaign with the punchline: “a good conversation starts with Douwe Egberts.” This idea emphasizes the role of coffee in social life and the part Douwe Egbert plays in people’s lives.
You can expect more to be launched with this new line. We’ll keep you posted. For now, you can view two of the spots that were broadcasted: ‘kid’ and ‘dress’. There is a French spoken and Dutch spoken version of each.

‘Fokkietje’ in the dictionary
‘Fokkie’ is a non-existing word invented by Duval Guillaume for a radio campaign on behalf of Douwe Egberts. ‘Fokkie’ is a dyslectic version of ‘koffie’, the Dutch word for coffee.
With the campaign we refer to the effect of not drinking a coffee in the morning, which leads to a dyslectic use of the language. In Belgium more and more people are commonly using this word in daily life. You should enter ‘fokkietje‘ or ‘fokkie‘ in Google to see how widespread it is.
After airing this campaign, ‘fokkietje’ popped up in several blogs, twitters and forums on the web. It’s being used in daily conversations and has been elected the best radio commercial by the audience. Maybe we are a bit too optimistic, but wouldn’t it be great if ‘fokkie’ could end in up in the dictionary?
Click below to listen to two of the ‘fokkie’ radio spots. Please note that they are in dutch, so even after two coffees you might not get it. Enjoy.
