Douwe Egberts: advertiser of the year

The Association of Communication Companies and Media Marketing magazine organized the Merit Awards 2008. At the awards ceremony in the Hippodroom of Groenendaal seven awards were handed out.
Douwe Egberts (Sara Lee), long time client of Duval Guillaume, was elected ‘Advertiser of the year’ at these Merit Awards. The jury explained Douwe Egberts is a brand that has committed to play a social role in communities and has communicated accordingly.
The people from Douwe Egberts were shiningly happy and asked all members of our brand team to join them on stage. The idea of holding hands may have been a bit too much, but hey…

Eurobest Awards: ‘A Blind Call’ wins gold
Eurobest Awards announced it’s winners. The campaign “A Blind Call” by the “League of the blind foundation” has won gold in the Eurobest category “Integrated Campaigns”. This campaign was created by Duval Guillaume.

Epica Awards winners
The winners of the Epica Awards, short for Europe’s Premier Creative Awards, are announced. The ‘Airbag’ print ad for Bazooka Bubblegum - a Topps brand - has won an Epica Award in the print category.
For this year’s Epica 5.600 entries were submitted from all over Europe. Duval Guillaume is the only Belgian agency to win an Epica in 2007. Other Epica finalists by Duval Guillaume were:
- Film Silver: Belgacom “Bike” & “Swimming pool” and Mio Digiwalker “The Fly”
- Film Bronze: Belgacom “Lotto” and Brailleliga “A Blind Call”

London calling

Earlier we mentioned several campaigns from Duval Guillaume were nominated for the London International Awards. Today we received a pleasant phone call from London.
The Pigs in Pain campaign for Gaia won Gold in the category ‘Integrated Media’. The jury unanimously agreed the idea, the use of media and the results were unpreceded.
The Dear Hunter spot for Pure FM has been rewarded with Silver in the category ‘Television & Cinema’. Have a look at the video below.
Ché tennis wins Sportel
The Tennis video for Ché Men’s Magazine campaign has won the award for Best Sports Advertising Film at Sportel Monaco.
