2008 CCB Awards for Duval Guillaume

The Creative Club of Belgium organizes the annual Gala of the CCB Awards. The most creative ideas in marketing, communication and advertising are rewarded by the Belgian industry. The Gala CCB for 2008 took place in Knokke and was themed ‘Comme A Cannes Belgium’.

Duval Guillaume and its clients received many awards. Twenty-five statues were taken home by the Duval Guillaume offices in Antwerp and Brussels, including a Grand Prix. You can find a full overview below.

Duval Guillaume reinforces online expert center

Duval Guillaume is reinforcing its online expertise by attracting more talent. In spring 2008 eight new faces will join our organization to provide an even better service to our existing and new clients.

In our full service agencies we’re not into lines, not above, below, nor through. Duval Guillaume is a place where ambitious advertisers and creative talents meet and build brands together. The online expert center represents people working on digital strategy, creative concepts, content in all its forms, user experience and webdesign & webdevelopment.

Michel Thysen is the new Online Manager in our Antwerp offices. He will be responsible for all new business and Client relations, as also for the team management and online strategy. Inès Van Lautem starts as a planning and traffic manager to match work with people. Geert Theys is the technical project manager we were looking for.

Gijs Hoppenbrouwers, Liesbeth Willaert and Manoël Sanchez are web producers (account managers) working on Belgian and international clients, such as Brussels Airlines, Topps, Nikon Europe and Leaseplan. Greet Jans will add value to our user experience team as an information architect. Mara Kockaerts works as a junior interface designer and Olivier Rocq starts as a web developer.  


Text Appeal: communication accidents

Text Appeal is a well known adaptation, localisation, translation and transcreation agency based in London. In other words, they make sure your big international campaign doesn’t end up as a culture shock in another country. 

Duval Guillaume Antwerp created an entertaining video for Text Appeal. Elliot Polaks, CEO at Text Appeal, will give a speech at the Cannes Festival about ‘cultural disasters’ and use this video in his presentation. Have a look:


Duval Guillaume regroups

Duval Guillaume was founded twelve years ago in Belgium (1996) by André Duval and Guillaume van der Stighelen. The agency has two full-service offices: one in Antwerp (DGA) and one in Brussels (DGB). Today the organization is regrouped - through the consolidation of other company-owned agencies into the two full-service agencies in Brussels and Antwerp - and now works in truly integrated fashion in marketing and communication services.

Carlsberg bottle stunt

Carlsberg “probably the best beer in the world” came out with a new bottle. Duval Guillaume helped spreading the word.

In Brussels and in Antwerp the Carlsberg logo was formed using the new Carlsberg bottles, an impressive amount on each billboard.

Just for once the well known Carlsberg baseline was adapted into ‘Probably the best new bottle in the world’.

Changing the landscape

Westkaai website

Real estate developer Project2 kicked-off construction works that will change the landscape of the city of Antwerp in Belgium. Six modern business and living towers will rise at Kattendijkdok Westkaai and will create a new city environment in the Northern part of Antwerp.

At Duval Guillaume we can count on an integrated approach for handling the communication of such a large scaled project. A lifestyle sales magazine, a brand new website and an intense PR campaign were developed to launch Westkaai.


Who let the sheep out?

Deloitte sheep

The recent Deloitte recruitment campaign in Belgium was an atypical way of introducing a Big Four company to potential job applicants. With this massive billboard in the center of Antwerp, Deloitte claim their leader position in the Belgian market using a teasing style.

The campaign was created at Duval Guillaume by the HR communication team. The e-card version of this Deloitte campaign on the Boomerang website became the most popular e-card in their charts.


Office space

Duval Guillaume offices on second floor of the ‘Grotehondstraat’ building in Antwerp have recently been reorganized. The ground floor was already in use by Duval Guillaume.

We just moved in so the rooms are still a bit empty. These offices will seat some of our internet folks and harbour a meeting room. We’re looking forward to meeting you there.

Guillaume on ATV

ATV, the regional Antwerp TV channel, made a documentary about Guillaume Van der Stighelen, co-founder of Duval Guillaume. Topic: Guillaume’s life and the part Antwerp plays in it.
