Guillaume to assume global function within Publicis ww

Guillaume Van der Stighelen, co-founder and creative partner of Duval Guillaume, one of Europe’s leading creative agencies, will take up a new challenge within Publicis ww. With immediate effect, Guillaume will be responsible for inspiring and motivating creative Publicis talent around the globe. In his new role, he will work closely together with Richard Pinder, COO of Publicis ww, Olivier Altmann, chief creative officer and John Woodward, chief strategy officer. Their ambition is to further improve the creative product of Publicis as a whole.

Eurobest final result: 1 Gold, 2 silver and 16 shortlists

With a gold and two silver in the Media Category Duval Guillaume did well at this years Eurobest festival. Gold and 1 silver were handed out to AXA bank&insurance for their ‘axa brings print ad to life’ campaign. In Belgium this campaign was already awarded with gold and named ‘innovative campaign of the year’ at the Mixx Awards (Belgian award for creative excellence in Digital). The second silver was for ‘little robin’ and Opvoedingslijn, a parental hotline for out of control kids.

Next to this there were 5 more shortlists for ‘axa brings print ad to life’ in direct, promo&activation, press and media. There was 1 more shortlist ‘little robin’ in outdoor. The other shortlists were: ‘the house of inventions’ for SOSidee in outdoor, ‘Police Ribbon’ for CAW in outdoor, ‘Classified ads’ for Alfa Romeo in outdoor, ‘Sex’ and ‘dance’ for TMFTravel in film, ‘Extras’ for Telenet in film, ‘Euphoric’ for Bongo in radio, ‘First Radio Flyer’ for De Lijn in Radio and ‘The Blow Job’ for Ché Men’s Magazine in Promo&Activation.

Our mission was to build awareness among freelancers and make them sign up at ikki.be. We learned that one of freelancers biggest concerns is to get their money in time. Which they usually don’t. But as from now any freelancer will be able to recall the accounts department of their late payment. With a little smile.

Trimetal allows painters to make and promote their own website

This personalised DM talks about Trimetal’s online webbuilder which enables painters to build their own website in a few simple steps. At the same time, it invites them to immediately promote the newly created website, as the DM on itself is a sticker with a personalised URL printed on the front. With this sticker pasted on their minivans, painters can advertise their services and work to potential clients while driving to existing clients. 4.500 Belgian painters received this mail piece with their personalised URL sticker.

Radio silver at London International Awards

With the radiocampagne for Bongo Gift Boxes, Duval Guillaume Brussels won silver at this year’s LIA (London International Awards). The commercial features soap and film actor Herbert Flack playing himself as an actor who helps people who cannot act surprised anymore when getting another cliché christmas present. For those who don’t understand Dutch, we have added a backtranslation.

V: Here you are, darling, your Christmas present.

M: Yes, well, I’m sorry, but every year the same gift, I really can’t pretend to be happy with it anymore. So I have hired a professional actor…

HF: Merry Christmas, this is Herbert Flack… I assume this is a bottle of champagne? How would you like me to accept it? Euphoric, neutral, just say it…

M: Eh, euphoric will do fine.

HF: OK…

SFX: Opens gift, music.

HF: Waaaah, a bottle of champagne! Great! Let’s pop that one, shall we! (plop!)

VO: Instead of always the same gift, you’d better give a Bongo.
