Belgian advertising awards : triumph for Duval Guillaume with 19 awards

During the Belgian advertising awards (CCB awards), Duval Guillaume was called on stage 19 times. Awards were won in almost all categories for almost all major clients. The annual gala took place in the casino of Knokke and on the adjacent beach, giving the ceremony a playful reference to the advertising festival of Cannes.
Here is the list with winning work : Gold for Brussels Airlines “Crisis�, Vlam Milk “freestylers and jumpers�, Vlam Milk “Leon� in innovative and best use of tv and GAIA “menu 1 and menu 2�. Silver for De Lijn “resto tickets�, Spa Barissart “Barfight�, Stallaert “The ugliest Building of Belgium� and Douwe Egberts “Fokkie in the dictionary�. Bronze for Telenet “Evi Naked�, Bongo “Herbert Flack does radio�, AXA “windowcleaner� and AXA “poles�.
This overall result got Duval Guillaume Brussels on the second place in the ranking of Agency of the year, Duval Guillaume Antwerp got ranked fifth.

8 Eurobest awards for Duval Guillaume
Brussels, November 30th 2009 – Advertising and communications group Duval Guillaume won 8 awards at the prestigious Eurobest Awards in advertising. In total, Duval Guillaume won 2 golden awards, 2 silver and 4 bronze awards. The agency contributed to Belgium’s success at this year’s award ceremony, as the most awarded country together with Germany.
Once again Duval Guillaume scored well at the Eurobest Awards. Duval Guillaume Brussels won a gold award for the ‘Freestyler/Jumpers’ campaign for VLAM in the category TV/Cinema. It won one silver award for the ‘Streaker’ campaign for Tabasco, also in TV/Cinema en another one for the Brussels Airlines campaign ‘Crisis’ in the category Radio. The bronze awards went to ‘Evy Naked’ for Telenet in the category Direct and ‘Motorcyclist’ and ‘Painter’ for Reborn to be Alive in Print.
Duval Guillaume Antwerp secured two awards for ‘The Ugliest Building’ campaign for Stallaert: one gold in the category Media and one Bronze in Direct. Duval Guillaume Antwerp landed a second bronze award for its MTV campaign ‘Virtual Sexually Transmitted Disease’ in Interactive.

Euroclear and Duval Guillaume are Grand Award winners for Euroclear Annual Report
Brussels/New York, 21 September 2009 – Financial transaction services
provider Euroclear was awarded two Grand Awards for its 2008 annual
report at the ARC Awards ceremony held in New York on 17 September.
The company achieved the highest accolades in two categories: “Best of
International� and “Best Cover Design�. The ARC Awards Competition is
considered the most highly respected and prestigious competition in the
industry.
The annual report entitled “Challenges can make you stronger” was
written and edited by Euroclear, and conceived and designed by leading
communication agency Duval Guillaume.

Spa commercial wins grand prix in Kinsale
The commercial “barfight� for Spa Barisart won this year’s grand prix at the Kinsale shark awards. It was the only grand prix allotted in tv. The commercial, which was shot completely under water, also got a golden shark in the category non alcoholic drinks.
And there were more reasons to celebrate. De Lijn “Pinguins� was awarded a silver shark for best animation, Tabasco “Streaker� got shortlisted.
A very sparkling result calling for something very sparkling to drink.

Milk Campaign wins Bronze in TV, bringing our total to 4 lions
Yesterday, on the closing night of the Cannes Festival, a bronze lion was given to the tv-campaign for the National Milk Board (VLAM). Â The campaign consists of two commercials : Milk “Jumpers” and Milk “Freestyler”.
This brings us to a total of 4 lions and 9 shortlists after one week of judging. Please scroll down if you want to relive the week once more.

New York Festivals: 2 Gold Awards
Awaiting the first official Cannes results, here is the final score for the New York Festivals. In total we won 2 Gold World Medals, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze.
Gold is for the ad “Save 8 lives� for Re-born to be Alive, both in print and in best use of media. Silver goes to the print campaign for Lazer Helmets. The Bronze awards are for De Lijn “Penguins� in best TV-animation, Komatsu in Direct and again Re-born for the print ad “Motorcyclist�.

4 Clio Awards in Las Vegas
With 10 shortlisted campaigns, we hoped we would win at least one Clio Award during the Grand Gala in Las Vegas. In the end, we got 4 Clio Awards.
In Direct there was one silver for Komatsu with the campaign “Xtreme precision�. In the same category there was also a bronze for the business cards of public bus company De Lijn. The same campaign was also awarded a bronze in Design. Finally, the ad “Save 8 lives� for Reborn to be Alive won a third bronze in the print category.
From now on we think of Las Vegas as a place where you can lose your money but where you can win awards.

Duval Guillaume ranks 27th in The Gunn Report
In the new edition of The Gunn Report, Duval Guillaume is ranked 27th in the list of the world’s most awarded agencies. In this world ranking, which can be compared with the ATP in tennis, Duval Guillaume is in the good company of Wieden+Kennedy Portland and 180 Amsterdam. Duval Guillaume is the only Belgian agency in the top 50.
“A Blind Call� in top 10 most awarded campaigns worldwide
The good ranking is largely the success of the campaign “A Blind Call� for the League of the Blind. Among other festivals, it was awarded at the three biggest award shows. It received a golden pencil at The One Show, a gold lion in Cannes, topping with a Grand Clio.
This got “A Blind Callâ€? on the 7th place of most awarded campaigns in “All Gunns Blazingâ€?, a category especially made for innovative ideas and campaigns. It’s in the nice company of “HBO Voyeurâ€? by BBDO New York and “Whopper freakoutâ€? by Crispin Porter+Bogusky. The campaign “A Blind Call” is described as being “intelligent and directly inspired by real life.â€?
