Douwe Egberts supports Brudio Stussel with fokkie

National youth radio Studio Brussel (StuBru) celebrates their 25th anniversary. For one week, they will turn the station upside down and change the name into the dyslectic Brudio Stussel (BruStu).

Douwe Egberts is well know for the Fokkie & Facé campaign on the radio, created by Duval Guillaume Brussels. The word coffee was inverted in French (café) and in Dutch (koffie). The characters in the spots speak a dyslectic language, until they had a cup of Douwe Egberts. You’re only ready to start the day, after a good cup of Douwe Egberts in the morning, is the idea behind it. The word Fokkie became an instant hit and is used in everyday life.

Douwe Egberts is airing new spots made for the birthday week of Studio Brussel. One spot explains how creatives came up with the name Brudio Stussel. They clearly hadden’t drank a fokkie yet that day.

All StuBru radio hosts received a t-shirt with a print of their name written in the dyslectic Fokkie language. The word Fokkie has been used regularly on air. In the studio a FokkieSjamien (coffee machine) was placed, to keep the hosts awake during the broadcasting at night.

Sporza Olympia: unusual duel

Sporza, the sports channel of public broadcaster VRT, will cover the Olympics this summer. It’s their ambition to bring an overview of and some guidance in the wide offer of sportive events.

Duval Guillaume created a tv spot that was directed by Bram Van Riet from production company Caviar. Sugar Jackson, current European boxing champion in the welter weights, fights an unusual duel with Michael Bracke, an international fencing revelation. Both athletes are Belgian.

The punchline we us as a signature is:

68 sports in 17 days can be confusing.
Sporza Olympia keeps you on track.

Green Belgium blocks Le Soir

Green Belgium: frame 3

The non-profit organization Green Belgium blocked the access to the website of Le Soir during world water day. Before you could enter the site, you had to turn the crank.

Turning the crank symbolized that without a well, readers don’t have acces to knowledge. Nowadays millions of children still have to choose between school and fetching water. Without wells, knowledge can’t flow either!

Have a look at the animation we stored in our archive.

The longest commercial in Duval Guillaume history

To announce the change from a big bank to a consumer-centric coaching bank, Dexia Bank asked Duval Guillaume to make a film for internal communication.

Duval Guillaume Brussels came up with a 13 minute film based on a well know tv-format, where a psychologists helps people to overcome their fears.

In our spoof of this TV show, we show a man working for Dexia who has to overcome his fear for personal contact with the client.

Lazer Helmets: go down in style

Two new print adds for the Lazer Urbanize fashion helmet. If you go down, at least do it with style wearing a Lazer fashion helmet.
